I watched the 11 minute solo. It's pretty cool. I just wonder if it would
start to feel corny doing that every night.
I doubt it. At the time at least, Eddie lived to play and I'm sure this was nothing different than he did every day at home for many hours. I read once in an interview that he even played while sitting in the bathroom.

If I had been one of those pickers, I would have tried to make my way back into the shadows and slip out the back door.

I think David Lee can safely go on the list with, Tiny Tim and Billy Ray.

Okay, I turned on my TV today just before the local news, and caught the end of The View. There was David Lee Roth, talking about his new venture, and what he'd been doing when he disappeared. He became an EMT! Said out of hundreds of ambulance calls, three people recognized him! To be fair, though, he did get a haircut and his pants probably had full backside coverage.

He then performed "Jump" with his acoustic band, and, well, his vocals just don't work in this setting. The band, however was terrific! It includes the great John Jorgenson on mandolin! He looked like he was havin' fun!

Haha, I watched it too. And I have to admit...it was a lot better. Still not
great, but definitely not The Tonight Show debicle. I enjoyed watching
him interact. He didn't have to figure out who was soloing this time :)

It's absolutely hysterical.

You know they are never getting back together when one member resorts to that

It's almost as sad as new groups covering Pink Floyd.
Pink Floyd is perfect as it is. Covering it almost always does a does service to the original.
I know it's Dave, but he must be hard pressed for jobs and overdrawn on his accounts!

My 2cents.

That's...disturbing. You are all familiar with Hayseed Dixie, right? Bluegrass covers of various classic rock tunes?

And if you know Radiohead reasonably well (prerequisite), google 'Rodeohead' for a stroke of pure genius.
